Coming Soon: Children’s Books and Games!

The positive response to our children’s board books and colouring books released earlier this year has encouraged us to expand our line of children’s products.

We’re proud to introduce two new board books, a hardcover book for older children, and a matching game suitable for children of all ages.

Learn about Northwest Coast Native Animals with “Sharing Our World” board book and “Sharing our World” hardcover edition.  Each book features artwork and quotes by various artists that explore the natural world and each animal’s significance to Native culture.

We’ve also started working with Kelly Robinson, a Native artist from the Nuxalk and Nuu – chah – nulth Nations.  In his board book “Northwest Coast Native Animals” Kelly uses his unique style to illustrate the animals important to his culture.

Last but not least, our Matching Game, also featuring Northwest Coast Native Animals, is fun for the whole family.  Young ones can look at all the colours and pictures while older kids and even adults can play traditional matching games.

All our new products are great for learning and for fun – making them ideal gifts as well as great resources for the classroom.

We look forward to your feedback!

I just purchased your Northwest Coast Native Animals Matching Game at Tumbleweeds in Kamloops and I am so impressed.
The owner of the store was promoting your books on the local television noon show and I had to stop in and see them.
I bought it for my grandchildren when they come over to play. Well that’s my excuse anyway. I LOVE native art and I just can’t get over how beautiful the tiles are. I’m so happy that you have included the artist of each peace and I plan to make a spreadsheet of each artist and which ones belong to which tile. I’m hoping to teach the grandchildren the name of the animals and also the artist’s name that belongs to the animal.I have 10 grandchildren and one great grandchild.
I looked at the children’s books that were available and were very impressed with them also. Looking at your website I see that there are many more. I love the coloring books too.
    Keep up the good work.

    • Hi Petrine,

Thanks so much for your kind words! I’m so glad you like the books and toys because we certainly enjoy producing them. You’ll be happy to know that we’re continuing this line of products so your grandchildren (and great grand child!) will have lots of ways to learn about Native art and culture.

Thanks again for taking the time to write to us.

      Cheers!
      Cristina

  1. Hello,

Just a quick note to say that I was in Vancouver (from Scotland) visiting a friend and picked up a couple of your pocket spirits along with some other momentos before our flight home. I was concerned that you might be a big faceless corporation cashing in on native art but I’m really pleased to have come home and found this lovely website showcasing your work and a commitment to using and promoting sustainable materials. It feels good to have made some purchases from a company that aims to support your culture and I also hope to in some small way offset the impact of the flights we took to enjoy your beautiful country.

My 3-year-old received your matching game as a gift this Christmas and the entire family has fallen in love with the beautiful designs (not to mention the thick material that makes the cards easy for little hands to manipulate).
    Thank you!

    • That is great 🙂 It is great product for kids and a good way for them to get interactive. Enjoy!
